The Physical Therapist II will be responsible for providing advanced physical therapy services to a broad spectrum of pediatric disabilities and diseases. Must be knowledgeable in therapeutic exercises, developmental norms and abnormalities, and modalities such as hydrotherapy and electrical therapy. The role involves collaboration with leadership and the program manager to support clinical and administrative operations within the Rehabilitation Program, specifically within the Physical Therapy Department. This position focuses on serving pelvic floor patients within the Colorectal Department.

Children's National Hospital, Division of Colorectal Surgery and Pelvic Reconstruction, seeks a qualified Physical Therapist II for Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy. The center offers state-of-the-art colorectal care for children and adolescents with conditions such as Hirschsprung disease, anorectal malformations, spinal anomalies, and functional constipation. Led by Surgical Director Dr. Marc Levitt, the team provides comprehensive, multispecialty care in collaboration with various medical disciplines and includes a trained interdisciplinary team. The candidate should have expertise in outpatient treatment for children with urinary and bowel incontinence, and experience working with diverse pediatric populations is highly desirable.

The position includes clinical care, research, and scholarly activities, with opportunities for collaborative research. The candidate will have a primary appointment in the Division of Colorectal & Pelvic Reconstruction, Department of Pediatrics, with expectations for participation in research and professional development.

Qualifications include a graduate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program, at least 4-5 years of pediatric experience, and valid licensure in DC or treating jurisdiction.
