Position Overview

Responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs that improve patient mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. Gains confidence and cooperation from patients, their families/support groups, and other healthcare providers through competent assessment, attentive monitoring, effective communication, and adherence to all regulations and policies. Provides clinical supervision of assistants and aides, and serves as a clinical instructor for students.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program; valid PT license required for demonstration.
• Certification & Licensure: PT-Physical Therapist, BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
• Experience: At least 2 years of relevant recent experience.
• Skills and Knowledge: Critical thinking, problem solving, independent work ability, knowledge of professional practice and regulatory requirements, proficiency with required technology, effective communication, teamwork, and continuous learning.
