Mercy is seeking a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to assess and treat adult and geriatric patients under Therapy Leadership. The role includes direct supervision of patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians and PT assistants, in a patient-centered, Mercy-driven setting.

Requirements include an active PT license in the state of practice, a PT degree (DPT/MS/BS) and BLS certification; six months to one year of experience is preferred, with emphasis on adult and geriatric

Qualifications

• Current State license of Physical Therapy.
• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• BLS certification must be current.

Responsabilités

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Supervise patients and rehabilitation staff including technicians and PT assistants.

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Education: Current State license of Physical Therapy. Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice. Experience: Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently. Other: Preferred Education: Preferred Licensure: Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients. Preferred Certifications: Preferred Other:

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
