Job summary

Mercy in Warr Acres, OK, seeks a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to assess adults and geriatrics and develop individualized treatment plans under therapy leadership. The role includes supervising patients, rehab technicians, and PT assistants per State Practice Acts.

Requirements include an active Physical Therapy license in the state, a PT degree (Bachelors/Masters/Doctorate), and current BLS. Experience with adult/geriatric populations is preferred; six months to one year is desired.

Qualifications

• Current State license of Physical Therapy.
• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• BLS certification current.
• Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist.
• Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Direct supervision of patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.
• Work under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership.

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice. Experience: Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently. Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
