Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to join our team in Oklahoma. You will perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive treatment programs for adults and the elderly, with direct patient supervision and oversight of rehabilitation staff in accordance with State Practice Acts.

Required are a current Physical Therapy license, and a degree at least in Bachelor/Master of Science or Doctorate in Physical Therapy, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current State license of Physical Therapy.
• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• BLS certification must be current.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Direct supervision to patients and supervision of rehabilitation technicians; supervise PT assistants as per State Practice Acts.

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Position Details:

Education: Current State license of Physical Therapy. Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice. Experience: Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently. Other: Preferred Education: Preferred Licensure: Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients. Preferred Certifications: Preferred Other:

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
