Job summary

Mercy Health Center is seeking a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to perform objective assessments and create individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients. You will supervise patients directly and rehab technicians indirectly, aligning with the Oklahoma Practice Act and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualified candidates hold an Oklahoma PT license (or registry eligible) and a DPT/PhD/MS in PT; BLS certification is required and experience with geriatric care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Oklahoma license in Physical Therapy or registry eligible.
• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• BLS certification; current before independent patient care.
• Six months to one year rehabilitation experience preferred for adult and geriatric patients.
• Experience supervising rehab staff is preferred.
• Licensure must be current

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Direct supervision of patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• Supervise PT assistants in accordance with Oklahoma Practice Act.

Under the general supervision of the Rehab Therapy supervisor at the Rehab Center at Mercy Health Center, and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with Oklahama Practice Act. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
