Job summary

Memorial Rehabilitation Institute provides highly specialized care ranging from complex trauma, stroke and brain injury to physical and speech therapy. Inpatient care is offered at Memorial Regional Hospital South, with outpatient care available in five locations and a home health team.

The physical therapist will evaluate and treat patient populations, plan discharges, educate patients and families, supervise assistants and students, and design and implement a plan of care tailored to each

Qualifications

• Accredited PT program is required.
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association is required.
• FL PT license is required.

• Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
• Provides information regarding appropriate selection and use of adaptive equipment and support resources.
• Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.

• Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to issues identified, required frequency of treatments, and involves the patient and family.

Summary:

Memorial Rehabilitation Institute provides highly specialized care ranging from complex multiple trauma, stroke and brain injury to physical and speech therapy. Inpatient care is offered at Memorial Regional Hospital South, with outpatient care available in five different locations. We also have a home health team and resources for long-term care at Memorial Manor, while also offering therapy for pediatric developmental diagnosis through Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.

Responsibilities:
