Job summary

Qualifications

• Accredited PTA program required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required.
• Florida PTA license required or in state licensure process.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Physical Therapist, provide physical therapy services.
• May supervise students.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and progress.
• Document services and patient progress.
• Assist with discharge planning as needed.
• Implement treatments using appropriate modalities.
• Consult with supervising therapist when needed.
• Communicate patient status to care team.
• Educate patient and family about deficits and adaptive equipment.
• Support community resource referrals.
