Job summary

Spaulding West Region Outpatient Physical Therapist Float is a full-time onsite role at Framingham, with coverage across Spaulding Outpatient Centers in Framingham, Wellesley, and Brighton. The position offers 8% premium pay, a sign-on bonus up to $5,000, and welcomes new grads to join and rotate through locations for 3–4 months each.

Applicants will evaluate and treat patients, document goals, educate staff, and participate in hospital-wide quality initiatives while ensuring licensure

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program required.
• Pre-2016 licensure accepts bachelor’s or master’s degree; 2016 onward requires DPT.
• Licensure in state required.
• 1–2 years internship or apprenticeship experience preferred.
• New grads welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Completes billing sheet by end of day.
• Evaluates treatment progress and adjusts plans for maximum benefit.
• Performs patient assessment and establishes plan of care.
• Provides in-service education for nursing staff as needed.
• Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and reevaluation plans.
• Discusses evaluation, goals and treatment with patient and family.
• Participates in hospital-wide quality process improvement.
• Supervises PTAs according to policy and state regulations.

Restores Patient Physical Functioning by interpreting physical therapy evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment goals and plans; administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities and in using assistive and supportive devices. Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program is required.
