Job summary

The Center For Physical Rehabilitation invites a motivated PRN Physical Therapist to join its outpatient orthopedic clinics in the Grand Rapids area. Clinics operate Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–7 p.m., offering flexible PRN shifts in a friendly, high-energy environment.

Applicants must have a CAPTE-accredited PT program degree, MI licensure, CPR certification, and strong autonomous work capabilities, with proficiency in EMR and MS Office. Community-focused patient care is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current MI license and CPR certification.
• Ability to work efficiently in an autonomous environment.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans.
• Review referrals and patient records to determine PT treatment.
• Provide direct patient care per protocols and guidelines.
• Document findings, progress, and instructions.
• Supervise assistants and rehab technicians.
• Develop a plan of care and goals.
• Implement therapy and essential treatments.
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurers.

Job Description

We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic PRN Physical Therapists to join our fun, energetic outpatient orthopedic clinics in the Grand Rapids area.

Our clinics operate Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–7 p.m.

• Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on the evaluation results


• Review the physician's referral (prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required


• Provide direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines


• Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers


• Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians


• Complete a written plan of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and develop a comprehensive program to attain goals


• Implement physical therapy treatment program and provide essential physical therapy treatments


• Communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies


• Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program.


• Current state of MI license and CPR certification


• Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment


• Basic PC skills and knowledge, including but not limited to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, database software, and MS Office
