Job summary

Select Medical's Kessler Rehabilitation Center in Middlesex/Mercer County is hiring a Physical Therapist Float for a full-time 40-hour workweek. Compensation ranges from $85,000 to $110,000 annually, with a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and incentives including student debt benefits and an annual bonus.

The Regional Support Position reports to the Regional Director and supports multiple centers with a unique salary scale and defined duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA-accredited school of physical therapy.
• Valid New Jersey State Physical Therapy License/Registration REQUIRED to start.
• Prior outpatient orthopedics experience preferred; entry level acceptable

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive evaluations, develops and progresses individualized treatment plans.
• Educates patients and caregivers and plans discharge when medical necessity no longer indicates skilled therapy.
• Participates in rehab team communications and departmental initiatives.
• Facilitates professional growth and departmental performance improvement.
• Performs other professional duties related to patient care and program delivery.

** up to a $10,000 sign on bonus**

The Regional Support Position is a clinical float position which affords the selected staff member to report directly to the local Regional Director, will be part of the regional center manager team and will have a defined number of centers. The RSPT position will include a separate salary scale specific to the position and additional job duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist (PT):

• Performs comprehensive evaluations, develops and appropriately progresses individualized treatment plans.
• Provides thorough education to patients and caregivers in a manner they can understand, and plans appropriately for discharge when medical necessity no longer indicates skilled therapeutic care.
• Participates in departmental initiatives and demonstrates effective communication with all rehab team members.
• Facilitates professional growth, development and overall improvement of departmental performance.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and design of program delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy.
• Valid New Jersey State Physical Therapy License/ Registration REQUIRED to start.
• Prior experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred; entry level/New Grad acceptable
