Job summary

San Joaquin Nursing and Rehabilitation in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents regain strength, mobility, and independence in a compassionate, person-centered care setting. Starting compensation is $60.00-$65.00 per hour with flexible scheduling and both full-time and part-time opportunities.

The PT will evaluate, treat, document, and communicate with families and health team members, supervise assistants, and participate in discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Masters/Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Proficient with Casamba and Point Click Care systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours of physician referral and document appropriately.
• Develop and obtain approval for treatment plans and treat per physician plan.
• Supervise PT Assistants and train staff on therapy procedures.
• Document evaluations and progress notes per state requirements.
• Discharge planning and caregiver training for home programs.
