Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist (Flex/Per Diem) to evaluate patient needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy services in collaboration with physicians, case managers, and the care team. You will supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehabilitation Aides, deliver care to adults and seniors, and ensure compliance with Mercy service standards and state practice acts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Current Physical Therapy license in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS certification (before independently caring for patients).
  • Six months to one year of rehabilitation experience.
  • Experience with adult and geriatric patients preferred.

What You'll Do

As a Physical Therapist, you will:

Qualifications
Required Education
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
Required Licensure & Certifications
  • Current or temporary Physical Therapy license in the state of practice
  • Current BLS certification (must be obtained prior to independently caring for patients)
Preferred Experience
  • Six months to one year of rehabilitation experience
  • Experience working with adult and geriatric patients preferred
Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

  • Lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Stand and walk for extended periods during each shift
  • Frequently bend, kneel, twist, squat, reach, and grip while providing patient care
