Job summary

Mercy in Northwest Arkansas at the Sugar Creek clinic seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist to deliver objective assessments and create individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.

The role involves supervising patients and rehab staff, coordinating care with Therapy Leadership, and ensuring adherence to Mercy standards. Requires current PT license and BLS; full-time position based in Springdale, AR.

Qualifications

• Current State license of Physical Therapy.
• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• Six months to one year experience preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist; experience with adult and geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• Provide general supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.

Requirements:

Education: Current State license of Physical Therapy. Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.

Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
