Job summary

Mercy - NWA Clinic Sugar Creek is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. The role requires conducting objective assessments and creating comprehensive individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients, under Therapy Leadership guidance.

You will supervise patients, support rehab technicians, and oversee PT assistants in line with State Practice Acts, contributing to Mercy's mission, values, and service standards.

Qualifications

• Current State license of Physical Therapy.
• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• BLS certification required and current before caring for patients independently.
• Six months to one year experience preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• Supervise PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.

Requirements:

Education: Current State license of Physical Therapy. Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.

Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
