Job summary

Mercy - NWA Clinic Sugar Creek is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive assessments and individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients under the supervision of Therapy Leadership. The role includes supervision of therapy staff and adherence to Mercy Service Standards.

Applicants must hold a current Physical Therapy license (state-specific) and a degree in physical therapy (BPT/MSPT/DPT).

Qualifications

• Education requirements include a Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure requires a current/temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• Certifications required: BLS; must be current before caring for patients independently.
• Preferred experience: 6 months to 1 year in rehabilitation physical therapy; experience with adult and geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Supervise patients directly and rehabilitation technicians; provide general supervision of PT assistants per State Practice Acts.

Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Requirements:

Education: Current State license of Physical Therapy. Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.

Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
