Job summary

Baptist Health Rehab Services provides a full range of physical, occupational, and speech therapy services for all ages. The staff physical therapist evaluates and treats patients, develops a treatment plan, and sets goals in alignment with department policies.

The PT will supervise students and Rehab Services Technicians, participate in departmental operations, and ensure compliance with national/state regulations while delivering education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Evaluates and treats patients; develops treatment plans and goals.
• Provides patient and family education integrated into treatment plan.
• Supervises students and rehab technicians as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Completes chart/medical record review.
• Follows treatment plan and notifies provider of changes.
• Plans treatment with input from patient.
• Receives and implements therapy orders.
• Completes evaluations, notes and discharge summaries timely.
