Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. in Miami Beach seeks a licensed Physical Therapist for a full-time role. You will initiate and complete patient assessments, set short and long-term goals, and document progress in the chart per department guidelines.

Responsibilities include training patients in ADLs, fitting assistive devices, educating patients and families, and supporting other therapists as needed. Comprehensive benefits and on-site housing for select positions may be available.

Qualifications

• License/registration: Florida State PT License and CPR Certification.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program as required by state licensing.
• Experience: 12 months of clinical work experience or doctor of physical therapy and ongoing CEHs.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and/or completes patient assessment and documents progress per departmental guidelines.
• Plans treatment with short- and long-term goals and updates progress.
• Documents charges with each initial evaluation and daily treatment; completes outcome measures.
• Fits, trains, and educates patients in use of assistive devices and DME; ensures equipment fits.
• Provides instructions to patients/families; trains in ADLs/IADLs to maximize independence.
• Participates in the clinical education program and assists in developing new programs.
