Zusammenfassung

Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support patient care across our South Florida facilities. The PTA will administer modalities, assist with adaptive equipment, and train patients and caregivers in equipment use as part of a collaborative physical therapy team.

Responsibilities include verifying progress with the Physical Therapist, completing FIM scores, and providing clear patient education and documentation.

Qualifikationen

• Current Florida State PTA License.
• CPR Certification.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.

Aufgaben

• Appropriately administers modalities and utilizes equipment as deemed necessary based on each specific guideline.
• Discusses with the Physical Therapist the need for assistive devices and DME/adaptive equipment and ensures proper fitting and documentation.
• Fits, trains and educates patient/caregiver in the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
• Communicates progress, goals and plan of care with the Physical Therapist and adjusts treatment accordingly.
• Completes Outcome Measures scores (FIM) for admission, goals, and discharge as required.
