Job summary

Ingham ISD seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to join Beekman Center in Lansing, MI. The role provides school-based physical therapy services to students with disabilities and participates in multidisciplinary evaluations in alignment with state and federal SPED rules.

Responsibilities include collaboration with general and special education staff and developing plans per Individualized Education Programs. Salary range listed applies for 2026-2027.

Qualifications

  • Current Michigan Physical Therapy License.
  • Earned degree from a college or university offering an approved program in Physical Therapy.
  • Understands Michigan Special Education Rules and Federal Special Education laws or demonstrates ability to learn them.
  • Qualified to provide therapy to students with disabilities in a school environment.

Position Title: Physical Therapist, Beekman Center

$54,069 - $110,577 2026-2027 Salary Range (commensurate with experience)

Schedule: 205 Day Schedule, 5 Days/Week, 7 Hours/Day

About The Role
  • Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary evaluation team and assists in the comprehensive assessment of students suspected of having a disability as outlined in the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education.
  • Provides physical therapy services, as recommended by Individualized Educational Programming team, to students with disabilities enrolled in general education, special education and/or career and technical programs.
  • Coordinates with and provides consultative services to general education and special education teachers, teacher consultants for physically or otherwise health impaired and other special education staff working with students with disabilities.
About You
  • Possess a current Michigan Physical Therapy License.
  • Earned degree from a college or university offering an approved program in Physical Therapy.
  • Has a clear understanding of Michigan Special Education Rules and Federal Special Education laws or demonstrates ability to learn these
  • Qualified by training and/or experience to provide therapy to students with disabilities in a school environment.
