Job summary

Ingham ISD seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to join Beekman Center in Lansing, MI. The role provides school-based physical therapy services to students with disabilities and participates in multidisciplinary evaluations in alignment with state and federal SPED rules.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan Physical Therapy License.
• Earned degree from a college or university offering an approved program in Physical Therapy.
• Understands Michigan Special Education Rules and Federal Special Education laws or demonstrates ability to learn them.
• Qualified to provide therapy to students with disabilities in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary evaluation team and assists in the comprehensive assessment of students suspected of having a disability.
• Provides physical therapy services to students with disabilities as recommended by the IEP team.
• Collaborates with general education and special education staff to support students with disabilities.
