The PTA will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, document patient progress, and support residents in mobility activities within a SNF setting. Strong reliability and facility adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Active PTA license in Colorado (or Compact PTA license)
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience in skilled nursing
• Reliable transportation to assigned facilities
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Record patient information and vital signs in EMR
• Provide PTAs under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Follow treatment plans and document progress
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait and mobility training
• Monitor responses to therapy and report to supervising therapist
• Ensure safety and document all sessions and outcomes

• Shift Availability: M-F, 8am to 5pm

Job Summary

Elite Medical Staffing is hiring Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) for skilled nursing opportunities in Alamosa, CO. This position offers competitive pay, consistent scheduling, and the opportunity to work a dedicated assignment with one of our healthcare partners.

We are seeking dependable, experienced therapists who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and can quickly and confidently adapt to new facility environments.

Responsibilities

• Utilize EMRto record patients’ medical information and vital signs
• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility interventions
• Monitor resident responses to treatment and report progress or concerns to the supervising therapist
• Reinforce prescribed therapy programs and resident safety practices
• Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic activities and mobility techniques as directed
• Accurately document treatment sessions and resident responses
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and professional practice standards
• Communicate concerns or issues to onsite supervisor and agency
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active PTA license
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in skilled nursing
• Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities
• Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
• Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds
• Able to be standing and walking with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations

Credentials Required

• Active and unencumbered CO PTA License or Compact PTA License
• Government-Issued Photo ID or Passport
• CPR/BLS
• Resume
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility placement
