Elite Medical Staffing, LLC is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a contract position in Sullivan, Missouri, at a Skilled Nursing Facility. The role offers $48/hour pay with a Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm schedule and requires an active MO PTA license or Compact PTA license.

Responsibilities include delivering PT services under supervision, maintaining EMR documentation, and ensuring safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

Responsabilités

• Record patient data and vital signs in EMR
• Deliver PT treatments under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Implement therapist-approved treatment plans
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and mobility
• Monitor and report patient response to therapy to the supervising therapist
• Educate residents and caregivers on mobility techniques
• Document sessions and maintain safety practices
• Meet facility policies and regulatory standards

Responsibilities

A PTA working contract through Elite Medical Staffing at a skilled nursing facility may be expected to:

• Utilize EMR to record patients' medical information and vital signs
• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility interventions
• Monitor resident responses to treatment and report progress or concerns to the supervising therapist
• Reinforce prescribed therapy programs and resident safety practices
• Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic activities and mobility techniques as directed
• Accurately document treatment sessions and resident responses
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and professional practice standards
• Communicate concerns or issues to onsite supervisor and agency
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active PTA license
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in skilled nursing
• Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities
• Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
• Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds
• Able to be standing and walking with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations

Credentials Required

• Active and unencumbered MO PTA License or Compact PTA License
• Government-Issued Photo ID or Passport
• CPR/BLS
• Resume
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility placement
