Job summary

Career Links is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality, evidence-based interventions designed to maximize residents’ mobility, function, and independence.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, assisting with gait and functional activities, documenting progress, and collaborating with the therapy team, nursing staff, and families.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
  • Current State PTA License (or eligibility).
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Compassionate approach to care with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

  • Assist residents with exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities.
  • Monitor and document residents’ progress toward treatment goals.
  • Communicate effectively with the therapy team, nursing staff, and families regarding patient status and care needs.
  • Ensure documentation meets facility, state, and payer requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Support the overall rehabilitation goals of the SNF with professionalism and compassion.
