Qualifications

• Coach residents through strengthening, balance and endurance activities.
• Assist with bed mobility, transfers and walking with appropriate assistive devices.
• Instruct and reinforce safe use of walkers and other mobility aids.
• Observe responses to treatment and report progress and barriers to the supervising PT.
• Document interventions accurately and collaborate with nursing/rehabilitation staff.

Post Rehabilitation Services is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to provide skilled nursing rehabilitation under the supervising Physical Therapist's direction, with treatment focused on meaningful improvements in daily mobility.

What You'll Do

• Carry out individualized physical therapy treatments within the PT's established plan of care.


• Coach residents through prescribed strengthening, balance, and endurance activities.


• Practice bed mobility, transfers, and walking with assistance suited to each resident's abilities and precautions.


• Teach and reinforce safe techniques for using prescribed walkers and other mobility devices.


• Observe treatment responses and update the supervising PT on progress, symptoms, and barriers to participation.


• Document interventions accurately and work with nursing and rehabilitation colleagues to reinforce mobility recommendations.
