The PTA will document services and help ensure compliance with care plans and regulatory guidelines, contributing to a healing, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Requires valid Physical Therapy Assistant license or certification in the state of practice, or proof of license eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide support care for residents seeking short-term/transitional care with the goal to recover and rehabilitate to the best possible functional level.
• Assist in providing appropriate aspects of quality patient care under supervision of licensed therapists.
• Document all services to ensure accurate and timely billing of therapy services.
• Ensure patient care follows the Plan of Care, organizational guidelines, and professional standards, complying with federal and state laws.
• Under supervision of a Physical Therapist, identify and develop a comprehensive plan of care and implement individualized therapy programs to restore and improve performance.
• Identify need for and refer to other disciplines to address patient needs under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Education
