Job summary

Knoxville Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for PRN weekday coverage. The PTA will administer treatments under a supervising PT to restore function and mobility, and to support patient recovery goals.

Applicant must hold TN PTA licensure, have an associate degree in PTA, and CPR certification. Join a patient-focused team dedicated to high-quality rehab care in a 57-bed inpatient setting.

• Associate's degree from PTA program.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under supervision of licensed PT.
• Assist in patient mobility and exercise routines.
• Monitor and report patient progress to PT.
• Maintain accurate timely documentation.
• Ensure a safe, clean treatment environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

How you'll contribute

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting in restoring function and improving mobility.

Essential Functions

• Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising PT.
• Assist in patient mobility and exercise routines.
• Monitor patient responses and report progress to PT.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for treatment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current TN Physical Therapist Assistant licensure in addition to:

• Education: Associate's degree from a PTA program.
• Experience: Rehab or acute care experience preferred.
• Certifications: CPR certification required.
