Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant II to join our Rehab team in Decatur, IL. You will treat all assigned patients and carry out the plan of care, while educating patients, families, and colleagues for ongoing professional growth.

The role engages in the development of therapy program services and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, supporting the delivery of high‑quality patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited PTA program meeting state licensure requirements.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or completion within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Treats all assigned patients and executes treatment plans as outlined by the plan of care.

Serves as an educator for patients, families, students, co‑workers and self‑professional advancement. Performs other professional duties associated with the care of patient, development of therapy program services, and engagement and development of interdisciplinary teams.

Position Specifics

• Department: Rehab, Outpatient/Inpatient
• Core Function: Rehab/Therapy/Sleep
• Schedule: PRN Day Shift 7:00am-4:00pm M-F
• Facility: St. Mary’s Hospital
• Clinic Location: Decatur, IL
• Compensation aligned with experience + shift differentials on top of base rate!

Educational Qualifications

• Graduate (e.g., Associate) from an accredited program which meets the licensure requirements in the state of practice (Required).

Experience Qualifications

• Years of Experience (2+)

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
• Board Certification which meets rigorous standards of maintenance or certification (Preferred).
