Job summary

Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic rehab team in Worcester. The PTA will provide therapeutic services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and contribute to a general rehab caseload.

The position offers weekly pay up to $40 per hour, with opportunities for CEUs, licensure maintenance, and career advancement within a supportive facility.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant is required.
• Current licensure by the applicable state agency is required.
• CEUs per licensure requirements must be maintained.
• Newly licensed PTAs are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist in provision and data collection of assessment data and direct treatment under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Participate in clinical program development and implementation.
• Consult with and train patients, residents, and caregivers.
• Monitor efficiencies in collaboration with supervisor.
• Document activities in the clinical documentation system in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate ability for continuous learning to stay current in the field.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Worcester

Join our dynamic team at Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). As a PTA, you will play a crucial role in the provision of physical therapy services to our patients, under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Weekly pay up to $40 an hour.

Education & Experience:

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program
• CEU's per state licensure requirements
• Current licensure by the applicable state agency where required
• Prior clinical experience preferred but not required
• Newly licensed therapists welcome!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in the provision, collection of assessment data, and direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Participate in clinical program development and implementation
• Consult with and train patients, residents, and caregivers
• Monitor efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor
• Document activities according to the company's clinical documentation system on a timely basis
• Demonstrate ability for continuous new learning to remain current in the field

Specific Requirements:

• Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary
• Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment, and direct patient care
• Requires intense attention and concentration
• Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and others
• Ability to deal with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds
• Ability to articulate and comprehend the English language
