Role Purpose

The purpose of this position is to treat and document care for residents with impaired ability to perform at an independent level due to disease, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow physicians' orders and Physical Therapist instructions.
• Provide treatment to help residents maintain or improve their physical abilities.
• Implement preventative measures and adaptive equipment to prevent decline.
• Educate residents and caregivers to maintain or improve function.
• Maintain accurate resident reports as required by regulations.
• Observe infection control procedures.
• Ensure resident safety.
• Collaborate with residents, staff, and healthcare providers.
• Follow all Residents' Rights policies.
• Act in a positive, caring manner, prioritizing residents' best interests.
• Perform duties professionally and efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
