Job summary

Pine Acres Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Rehabilitation/Therapy team. This flexible position offers meaningful patient care in a long-term care setting.

Compensation ranges from $37.00 to $40.00 per hour with comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities include assisting the supervising PT, measuring and recording motor function, guiding exercises, and educating residents to improve mobility while maintaining confidentiality

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current State PTA license.
• Experience in long-term-care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Therapy Team under the guidance of PT.
• Measure and record Residents' motor function, strength and muscle performance.
• Observe Residents and write progress reports.
• Assist Residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Treat Residents with techniques like stretching and massage.
• Help Residents use necessary equipment and devices.
• Educate Residents on how to exercise properly to strengthen muscle and improve mobility.
• Maintain Residents' confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Contribute to the entire team effort and goals.
