Job summary

MJ Healthcare is seeking a licensed PTA to join our Therapy Team under the guidance of a PT. You will measure and record residents’ motor function, assist with exercises, observe progress, and help residents perform therapeutic activities with stretching, massage, and the use of equipment.

You will educate residents on proper exercise, maintain confidentiality, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current State PTA license.
• Experience in long-term-care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record Residents' motor function, strength and mobility under PT guidance.
• Assist Residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Observe Residents and document progress reports.
• Apply techniques such as stretching and massage.
• Help Residents use necessary equipment and devices.
• Educate Residents on proper exercise to strengthen muscles and improve mobility.
• Maintain Residents' confidentiality and comply with legal requirements.
• Contribute to the therapy team goals and cooperation.

Education

Graduate of an accredited PTA Program

Current State PTA License

Experience in long-term-care settings preferred

• PTA will Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
