Job Opportunity: Certified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Angels of Care currently has opportunities for part-time or full-time certified Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA).

Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health is a clinician-owned and operated home health agency with experienced staff dedicated to serving the special needs community. Pay Range:

$42,000 - $86,000

Job Description:

A certified PTA will assist a Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans to help pediatric patients with physical, neurological, cognitive, and social/emotional disabilities or delays through home and community-based services.

Requirements:
  • Texas State PTA License
  • Current CPR certification
  • At least 1 year of experience preferred
Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality care by performing evaluations, interpreting assessment results, developing goals suitable for each child, and creating and implementing physical therapy treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
  • Help pediatric patients develop or regain physical, neurological, cognitive, and social/emotional functioning, enhancing independence through skilled interventions.
  • Educate and empower caregivers and families to incorporate therapeutic activities into daily routines.
  • Coordinate with referral partners, including Early Intervention Colorado, to deliver services as per physician orders and IFSP.
  • Ensure continuity of therapeutic plans post-discharge by instructing families and caregivers in home exercises.
  • Document patient care and care coordination accurately in electronic medical records.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
