Duties
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
  • Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments to patients with physical functioning disorders under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Administer procedures such as manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices, under supervision.
  • Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly, documenting in the clinical record.
  • Offer consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers regarding physical disorders.
  • Contribute to discharge summaries as required by regulations and clinical standards.
  • Document all required information in electronic records, maintaining patient confidentiality and records per company policy.
Qualifications

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. Prior experience in a skilled nursing setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome.
