Job summary

Cape Regency Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Barnstable is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for full-time and per diem positions. The role offers up to $40 per hour with weekly pay and occasional weekend rotation for full-time staff.

The PTA will assist with assessments, direct treatment under a Physical Therapist, and contribute to program development in a 120-bed skilled nursing facility offering short-term rehab and long-term care.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant required.
• Active and unencumbered PTA license in the state, or in process/eligible to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Under a physician’s order, provides direct resident treatments per established plan of care.
• Contributes to team meetings and decision-making processes.
• Trains residents and caregivers.
• Monitors efficiencies with supervisor.
• Documents activities in the clinical documentation system on time.
• Follows Medicare and reimbursement regulations.
• Participates in clinical program development and implementation.
• Maintains current knowledge through ongoing learning.
• Performs additional duties as requested by supervisor.

Up to $40 an hour with weekly pay. Higher rate for per diem. Cape Regency is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility offering short-term rehab and long-term care. The full-time schedule is on weekdays but does include an occasional 1 weekend day rotation.

Job Description:

We are hiring a per diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic care team! As a PTA, you will assist in the provision and collection of assessment data, direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist, and participate in clinical program development.

Education & Experience:

• Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant required

• Must possess an active and unencumbered Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state, or be in the process or eligible to obtain one

• New graduates welcome!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Under a physician’s order, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care

• Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program

• Consults with and trains residents and caregivers

• Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with the supervisor

• Documents activities according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis

• Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations

• Participates in clinical program development and implementation

• Demonstrates the ability for continuous new learning to remain current in the field

• May perform additional duties as requested by supervisor

• Participates in quality improvement activities

Specific Requirements:

• Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers
