Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Full Time

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of $2,500***.
Position Goal
Responsible for providing direct patient care based on treatment plans established by the primary Physical Therapist.
Position Responsibilities
- Administers physical therapy treatment programs as supervised by a staff PT.
- Adheres to the plan of care established by PT for each patient.
- Operates therapeutic equipment and devices as necessary.
- Documents care and patient information for medical records, including history, treatment, and consultations.
- Complies with department policies/procedures and regulations related to infection control.
- Bills patients according to proper procedures.
- Serves as an educational resource for patients, families, and therapy staff.
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
- Maintains HIPAA compliance and abides by state ethics laws.
- Performs wound care and assessments to enhance surgical outcomes.
- Provides timely and accurate documentation of patient progress.
- Stays updated on protocols for the patient population.
Experience
Required: None
Preferred: 1 year experience
Education
Required: Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy
Special Qualifications
- Current state PTA license
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Travel to satellite clinics may be required; valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR needed.
