Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Per Diem/PRN

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care. Responsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel for those assigned patients, to enhance patient care services. Consistently communicates with the supervising PT regarding scheduled patients to identify needs for assessment, reassessment, modification of treatment plans, and other interventions requiring therapist direction. Participates in the education of patients, families, students, coworkers, and self. Performs other professional duties related to patient care within the scope of practice.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Certified BLS or completion within the first 90 days of employment.
• Preferred candidate has one or more years of experience.

Preferred Experience

• Neuro or acute care experience.
