Responsibilities

We seek dedicated employees who will be Champions of the Select Medical Way, which emphasizes putting the patient first, improving community quality of life, fostering innovation, providing high-quality care, and doing what is right.

You will assist with the delivery of Physical Therapy services, including transportation, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities, as outlined by the treatment plan and in accordance with state practice guidelines.

1. Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the Physical Therapist (PT).
2. Assist the PT in delivering therapeutic interventions such as posture training, strengthening exercises, endurance/cardiac training, balance, coordination, joint mobility, muscle lengthening, pain relief, functional skills training, and community re-entry training.
3. Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices like canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs.
4. Demonstrate proper use of gait, belt, and safety awareness, including guarding techniques.
5. Order and instruct patients on the use of prescribed equipment.

Qualifications

You should demonstrate an understanding of patient needs, ensuring patients feel informed, understood, and heard. A passion for providing high-quality care and inventive problem-solving in a dynamic environment are essential.

Minimum requirements:

• Valid state PTA license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date
