Job summary

Santa Monica Healthcare Center seeks a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our California team. The PTA role offers a salary from $81,120 to $93,600 annually for full- or part-time work, plus a robust benefits package.

You will administer treatments, perform strength and mobility tests, document care plans, and collaborate with PT/OT to ensure safe resident discharge. Relocation reimbursement and sign-on bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.
• Current California PTA license.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Performs tests and measurements for strength, ROM, and mobility.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established care plan.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate in home assessments to support discharge planning with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes forms and documents per policy and regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.
