Job summary

Tennessee Quality Care in Memphis, TN, is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for Home Health to support patients in Shelby County. This PRN role offers flexibility and meaningful, patient-centered care in patients' homes.

As part of our Home Health team, you will help patients improve mobility, strength, and independence under a licensed Physical Therapist, with a Monday–Friday schedule and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• PTA must be graduate of an accredited PTA program per APTA.
• Must hold current PTA license in the state of Tennessee.
• Home Health experience is preferred but not required.
• CPR certification currently valid.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and independence.
• Assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, and functional mobility activities.
• Administer treatments including therapeutic exercise and approved modalities.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising PT.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and use of assistive devices.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure patient outcomes.
