Job summary

FutureCare in Baltimore, MD is hiring a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to implement treatment plans and help residents manage pain, restore movement, and improve muscle function. You will work closely with licensed PTs, document progress, and ensure care complies with facility policies.

The role emphasizes empathy, strong communication with residents and families, and a commitment to high-quality patient care in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved PTA program.
• Current license or eligible for license in Maryland.
• Experience in long-term or sub-acute setting.
• Active membership in the state/national American Physical Therapy Association preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments to residents according to evaluations and treatment plans by the licensed PT.
• Exercise sound judgment and provide effective and efficient care in the performance of duties.
• Observe, record, and report changes to the PT as assigned.
• Track need for reassessment and report changes indicating reassessment or referral.
• Maintain daily records of treatments and progress notes as directed by the therapist.
• Discontinue any procedure that appears harmful and notify the PT and staff.
• Ensure review of care rendered by the PT according to regulations.

***Salary Range $34.75- $44.11/HR***

Salary Disclosure Statement

The salary mentioned above reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Bonuses or other incentives (if applicable) are offered separately and paid pursuant to the relevant program schedule. • Observe, record, and report change in conditions, reactions and responses to the resident Physical Therapist as assigned
• Track the need for reassessment and reports changes in status that may indicate the need for reassessment or referral
• Maintain daily records of treatments and documents progress notes on residents as directed by the therapist
• Discontinue immediately any treatment procedure that appears harmful to the resident/patient and notifies the licensed physical therapist and other appropriate staff
• Ensure appropriate review of care rendered is performed by the licensed Physical Therapist according to practice regulations

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current license or eligible for license under statutes in the State of Maryland
• Training or experience in long-term or sub-acute setting
• Prefer active membership in the state and national American Physical Therapy Association
• Ability to understand and follow the directions of the Physical Therapist and the policies and procedures of the facility
