Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate’s degree in the content area is required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must be a licensed Health Care professional in the state of Ohio.
• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for a diverse college community.
• Proficiency with modern educational technology and multimedia-based instruction.

Responsibilities

• Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Prepare syllabi for all assigned sections per policies.
• Employ teaching strategies and instructional technology as appropriate.
• Modify methods to meet diverse student needs.
• Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success.
• Evaluate and return student work promptly and maintain records.
• Submit final grade rosters by deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Adjunct cannot exceed 12 credit hours per semester.

Position Summary: The Sinclair Physical Therapist Assistant Program is currentlyseeking part-time (adjunct) faculty to teach face-to-face formorning and afternoon courses at our downtown Dayton campus.

Requirements

• Minimum of an associate’s degree in the content area isrequired; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Must be a licensed Health Care professional in the state ofOhio required
• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience ispreferred
• Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning throughinnovative strategies shown to help students succeed at the courseand program level
• Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills withthe capacity to work successfully in a culturally diverse collegecommunity
• Must possess demonstrated skills in using modern educationaltechnology, including multimedia-based instruction
