Hourly Pay Range:

$24.86 - $37.29 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Inpatient/Outpatient - Per Diem

Position Highlights:

• Location: Elmhurst, Naperville, Evanston, Skokie, Arlington Heights, and Chicago
• Per Diem

Brief Overview:

The licensed Physical Therapist Assistant provides direct professional patient/resident physical therapy services under the general supervision of a physical therapist. They are responsible for performing procedures appropriate to the patient's age and developmental status to maximize clinical outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer delegated direct patient care and demonstrate competency across all patient care service areas.
• Order assistive devices as needed and instruct patients and families on home programs.
• Adapt treatment plans for patients with multiple issues, consulting with primary therapists as needed.
• Maintain accurate records, participate in peer reviews, and report patient progress.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals, participate in staff education, and volunteer for community projects.
• Organize equipment and scheduling, and ensure billing compliance.

Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience; entry-level position.
• Valid IL licensure or eligibility, CPR/BLS certification.
• Good interpersonal, organizational, and independent working skills; knowledge of Lymphedema beneficial.
