Job summary

Mission Arch Center in Roswell, New Mexico, is seeking a Full-time and PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house therapy team. The facility features 120 beds and a focus on short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite services.

We offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus for full-time staff, a collaborative work environment, and opportunities for ongoing training. Qualified candidates hold NM PTA licensure and CPR/BLS certification; SNF experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current New Mexico PTA license in good standing.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in skilled nursing or subacute rehab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer treatment to residents and patients to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Ensure treatment is delivered per the plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and educate patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response to treatment intervention.
• Document patient care history per policy and regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Develop and adjust treatment plans and home exercise guidance.

$2,000 SIGN ON BONUS for Full TIME!

120 Beds, Skilled Nursing Facility

This skilled nursing facility is an oasis, providing top-tier short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite care services. One of the unique offerings that sets Mission Arch Center apart is the short term care program. This service is designed for individuals who need concentrated rehabilitation before returning home. It allows patients to recover in a comfortable, home-like setting while still receiving the therapeutic attention they need.

Responsibilities:

• administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
• Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
• Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers
• Monitor patient response to treatment intervention
• Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations
• Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition.
• Assessing and interpreting patient evaluations and test results.
• Developing treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques.
• Creating personalized fitness-oriented health care programs for patients.
• Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility.
• Advising patients on exercise techniques.
• Advising patients and their families about in-home treatment options.
• Providing educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote physical health.
• Consulting and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
• Documenting patient care history.
• Complying with rules, regulations, and procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current New Mexico PTA license in good standing.
• CPR/BLS certification (required).
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or subacute rehab setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
