Job summary

Spring River in Roswell, NM is seeking a Full-Time and PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to support residents’ mobility and independence.

New graduates are welcome; SNF or long-term care experience is preferred. A $5K sign-on bonus is offered, along with flexible scheduling and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Current NM PTA license in good standing.
• Knowledge of modern therapy practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

The PTA works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide direct patient care. This role focuses on helping residents improve mobility, strength, and functional independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, and function
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to supervising therapist
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy programs
• Accurately document treatments and patient responses in compliance with regulations

Qualifications

• SNF or long-term care experience preferred
• Knowledge of current therapy practices
• Experience with Net Health or similar EMR systems preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Licensure Requirements

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of New Mexico
• License must be active and in good standing
