Shift: Shift 1 / 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Pay Rate Range: $25.34 - $32.95 per hour

Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy services under the supervision of the Physical Therapist (PT). Responsibilities include implementing patient interventions, modifying interventions as directed, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and educating patients, families, and staff. The PTA must demonstrate professional behavior and attributes such as critical thinking, communication, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, professionalism, effective time management, and stress management.

Educational Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant

Additional Educational Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited program recognized by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)

Experience

State Licensure

• Active Florida Physical Therapist Assistant license

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association

Additional Notes

Staff may be required to rotate to other treatment areas as needed, including Skilled Nursing Facilities, Home Health, Rehab Hospitals, and Pediatrics, which may require Level 2 Background Screening.
