Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Carry out treatment plans established by the physical therapist and progress patients toward functional goals.
  • Provide exceptional care in an outpatient orthopedic clinical setting.
  • Document patient status per compliance guidelines of IBJI Rehab.
  • Communicate progress and discharge information through notes to physicians, co-signed by supervising PT.
  • Supervise rehabilitation technicians and administrative staff as needed.
  • Complete daily paperwork including treatment notes, progress notes, discharges, HEPs, etc.
  • Stay current with billing policies and practice ethical billing.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out treatment plans established by the physical therapist, progressing patients toward functional goals as appropriate
  • Provide exceptional care in an outpatient orthopedic clinical setting
  • Document patient status per compliance guidelines of IBJI Rehab
  • Communicate progress and discharge information through written notes to physicians, co‑signed with supervising PT
  • Communicate frequently with supervising PT regarding patient progression, discharge, and follow‑up
  • Supervise rehabilitation technicians and administrative staff as needed
  • Complete daily paperwork including treatment notes, progress notes, discharges, HEPs, etc., in a timely manner
  • Stay current with billing policies and practice ethical billing
  • Maintain an active state license by earning CEUs through external courses and IBJI-sponsored education
  • Develop positive relationships with PTs, physicians, and case managers
  • Participate in IBJI-sponsored programs such as mentoring, clinical education, special interest groups, and community outreach
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Hold a current Illinois license to practice
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds and use proper body mechanics
  • Ability to stand or sit for more than 30 minutes sequentially
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods during the day
