Position Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant reports to the Physical Medicine Manager and is responsible for providing patient care under the supervision of licensed therapy staff.

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with patient care, as directed.
• Maintain records and patient schedules.
• Maintain department equipment, including moving, disinfecting, and coordinating repairs.
• Partner with department leadership regarding supplies and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Licensure and Certifications: PTA license and CPR certification required.
• Experience: Previous clinical experience preferred.

Work Environment

This position involves spending up to 80% of the time standing and/or walking, with activities including pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs. The remaining 20% involves sitting in a standard office environment.
