OSS Health is seeking a full-time Pain Secretary - Administrative Assistant to support their Pain Center. The right candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a healthcare EMR environment and excellent organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities include scheduling, handling patient interactions, and assisting with administrative tasks related to the physicians' schedules. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
Education:
A high School diploma or equivalent is required; graduate of an accredited business school or college in medical administrative discipline preferred.
Qualifications:
· A minimum of 1 year of experience as an administrative role in a healthcare EMR environment required, with Provider interaction
· Must possess excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, staff, physicians, vendors and others.
· Must have excellent computer skills and proficiency with Windows based programs required.
· Must be organized and be able to prioritize tasks and functions efficiently.
· Must possess a solid knowledge and understanding of medical terminology and coding; orthopaedic terminology/coding preferred.
· Must type accurately.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be proficient in the English language, both verbally and written, in order to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, vendors and the general public.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Periods of prolonged sitting. Light physical effort; some standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping; manual dexterity to operate keyboard and other equipment; detail oriented; able to maintain a pleasant and courteous demeanor under all circumstances.
