Location: 1199 Pleasant Valley Way West Orange, NJ

Status: Full-time

40 hours weekly

Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA):

• Carry out interventions designed by the supervising physical therapist
• Provide treatments to improve patients' mobility, function, and alleviate pain, such as therapeutic exercises, functional training, and manual therapy techniques
• Observe and record patients' responses to treatments
• Work closely with the supervising physical therapist to ensure treatment plans are followed and adjusted based on patient progress
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of interventions and patient progress, complying with legal, regulatory, and facility standards
• Operate within the scope of practice defined by state laws and regulations, under supervision as required

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an APTA-accredited physical therapy program
• Valid New Jersey State Physical Therapy License/Registration REQUIRED to start
• Prior outpatient neuro experience preferred; new graduates are welcome
